This penthouse apartment is located in the heart of Puerto Banús, one of Marbella’s most prestigious locations that benefits from grand views of the Puerto Banús harbour and Morocco. This Swedish family wanted to create a luxurious, modern and minimalistic apartment that suited their needs for living, entertaining and enjoying the Marbella lifestyle at its fullest.

From the moment we stepping through the door of this penthouse apartment, we knew that it was a jewel to be made. However, the run down apartment was in desperate need of a face-lift and a well-planned interior design solution. We decided to completely blow out the interior of the apartment to start from the ground up. All floors were removed, the kitchen was completely taken out and the wall dividing the kitchen and the living room was demolished.

To create a larger space and nice entrance area, we decided to open up the previously enclosed kitchen to form an open concept.

The kitchen was made in high gloss finish and features warm grey Silestone tabletop. The kitchen island leads into the dining area with inviting designer chairs.

The guest bedroom was enhanced and opened up by replacing the undersized window with a sleek sliding door, utilising natural light to illuminate the small area and provide it with a more spacious feel. Here we made a contrasting wall in a rich grey colour, with two beds placed symmetrically between the abstract artwork and the bedside table.

The master bedroom was furnished with a large queen bed, minimalistic bedside tables and wall hung bedside lamps. A consol table with interesting décor and a distinctive patterned wallpaper completed the overall effect and style.

The large size terrace needed to serve as a dining area, lounge area and a place to sunbath during those lovely summer months in Marbella. We wanted to fully embrace the potential for a private outdoor space where the most expansive views could be enjoyed. To do this, we continued the large sized tiles out onto the terrace, repainted the yellow façade, and incorporated a strategically place sound system in the roof to provide a functional and enjoyable place to entertain.

For the master bedroom, we wanted to create a luxurious design space with a grand feel by adding a large leather headboard with studs, and two wooded topped metal bedside tables.

The bathroom was originally very dark and crowded, with dividing walls which we removed to create the illusion of a much larger space. By using the mix of light and dark tiles, we created a feeling of a spa design that work harmoniously with the rest of the interior. All bathroom designs are made in coherent colour pattern and custom-made bathroom furniture in high quality.
