La Cala de Mijas
A lovely Swedish couple had just bough their first holiday property in Spain. The construction was already in the works and they needed help with their floor planning and furniture solutions.
The super positive and happy couple wanted to create a luxurious yet fun and warm space. They were not scared of using patterns and colour but wanted to maintain a solid base to their interior.
In the large entrance, we decided to place a custom made dividing wall that still allows the sun to shine through, illuminating the area with natural light. Quirky clothing hooks were placed along the entrance wall on two levels, which was a personal touch so that their grandchildren would be able to have their own dedicated hangers.
We created extra storage and a nice feature to the wall with a large buffet, a commissioned piece of art and a big contemporary table lamp.
Along the same wall we added a 3 metre long sofa, large enough to accommodate family visits, along with two zebra patterned armchairs.
The stylish effect was complimented by the addition of the luxurious chrome table with a glass element, and an opulent chandelier created a beautiful feature to the room.
We wanted to combine a dining area that would comfortably seat 6 people with the open living space. This was achieved with a custom-made large dining table, made in metal and lacquered in high gloss white paid. A large colorful abstract painting was added as a focal point of the dining area.
The guest bedroom was fitted with an upholstered bed base and headboard in beige linen, and finished with luxurious TENCAL bedsheets.
